Learn about SAP Cloud Platform Integration, a feature available on SAP Cloud Platform with specific tools for developing application integrations, primarily between third-party environments and applications, and SAP itself in Cloud and on Premise environments.
This tool is based on SAP Process Orchestration, SAP PO, but delivered as a PaaS service on SAP Cloud Platform.
It is particularly useful in scenarios where you need to integrate external or cloud applications with your SAP environment on both premise and cloud environments.
As an integration tool, it has connectors with major SAP platforms such as SAP Concur, SAP Ariba, SAP SucessFactors and other third party services, as well as connectors that make it easy to integrate with other external WEB or APIS systems using SOAP or REST for example.
Having for example connectors for example to integrate the Chilean invoice for example, which makes us think that soon may become the integration tool also with the Brazilian Invoice, replacing SAP Netweaver Process Integration, the famous PI.
In addition to facilitating all integration work, it also brings more security to the connection between your company’s SAP on premise environment and WEB applications, since communication is done through the SAP Cloud Connector, thus not having to allow direct access to your environment
It also has several forms of monitoring and logging, as well as allows to evaluate possible problems and helps in dealing with them.
It is worth evaluating the tool, especially for integrations with external environments to your company and especially if you already have an SAP Cloud subscription.
Unfortunately, this feature is only available for paid SAP Cloud Platform subscriptions and cannot be evaluated in the Trial environment.
